Scaffold bioabsorvível no aumento mamário: vantagens clínicas e indicações 

O scaffold bioabsorvível cria uma estrutura de sustentação interna à mama, utilizando tecidos da própria paciente ou uma malha biocompatível, que reproduz, de forma permanente, o suporte que um sutiã externo oferece (2). O resultado é uma mama com formato preservado, melhor posicionamento da prótese e longevidade cirúrgica significativamente superior (3).

Por que o tecido mamário perde sustentação com o tempo? 

Com o envelhecimento, o organismo reduz gradualmente a produção de colágeno, tornando a pele mais fina e menos elástica, o que pode justificar a indicação de estratégias de suporte, como o scaffold bioabsorvível, em casos selecionados.  

Somam-se a isso fatores como gestaçãoamamentaçãovariações de pesotabagismoexposição solar e predisposição genética (4). 

Em pacientes submetidas à mamoplastia de aumento, esse processo é ainda mais crítico, porque o peso adicional das próteses impõe tensão constante sobre tecidos que, com o tempo, podem não ter resistência suficiente para manter o resultado cirúrgico. É nesse cenário que o scaffold bioabsorvível se torna não apenas uma opção, mas uma estratégia clinicamente fundamentada (5). 

Indicações clínicas  

A técnica do scaffold bioabsorvível é versátil e pode ser incorporada em diferentes contextos cirúrgicos: 

  • Mamoplastia de aumento – atua como estrutura de ancoragem interna, prevenindo o deslizamento inferior da prótese e preservando a projeção do polo superior; 
  • Mastopexia – proporciona sustentação adicional após o lifting, reduzindo o risco de recidiva da ptose em médio e longo prazo; 
  • Mamoplastia redutora – auxilia na remodelação do tecido remanescente, distribuindo o peso de forma equilibrada sobre o sulco mamário; 
  • Cirurgias de revisão – indicado para correção de queda de prótese, assimetria instalada ou flacidez residual em pacientes reoperadas (6).

O material é absorvido de forma gradual entre 18 e 24 meses, período em que a neocolagênese já garantiu uma matriz tecidual robusta o suficiente para manter a forma e a posição das mamas de maneira autônoma (10).
